Kouki is a tape yarn made from ramie and silk. Ramie is a bast fiber belonging to the nettle family and is called the “linen of the east.” It has a unique strength with a silky shine. The processing of the fiber is extensive and partially by hand. Suitable for the summer wardrobe, the knitted fabric is both elegant and durable. 50 grams / 295 yards / 56% ramie, 44% silk / 29 sts = 4” on US 1½ (2.5 mm) / hand wash / lay flat to dry / spun in Japan.
